Stinkoman 20X6: Reloaded

Did you know that...

  • ...in one or two days, Joshua history will be made? Well, not nessecarily. But anyway... ever since Joshua joined this Fanstuff Wiki, he has only had one major continued series: Other Character Email Tampo. Sure, he's had other fanstuff like Character Popularity and even minor series that he barely spends time on, such as Daisy Chats and Homestar's Answering Machine. But all that's about to change, because in a few more days, Joshua will release a new major fanstuff series. He's not going to go into details yet, but there's one thing he'll tell you: It isn't starring Tampo. But don't worry, Tampo Emails aren't going anywhere, although their update rate may decrease a little.

Most Linked To

Did you know that...

100's a pretty cool number
  • ...there's a special page out there that focuses on the Most Linked To Pages? I don't think many people do. It takes the number of pages that link to any page, add them up, and list them. On December 1st, 2005, guess what is the second most linked to Page? User:Joshua; second only to User:PrincessHomestar. Since when was she linked to everywhere? Talk pages, probably. The most linked to actual fanstuff is Con email.exe, of all things. thatkidsam.muffin is second place. Where is OCE Tampo? Exactly #100. How cool is that? ...well, I thought it was pretty cool. (Of course, being most linked to doesn't depend on something's popularity or awexomeness. It mostly depends on now many talk pages you've posted on. And I don't link to Tampo Emails in my sig, which is probably why it's a bit low.)

Pesky IP Address

Did you know that...

  • ...Tampo Emails have been attacked by an unpleasant IP Address group? But not a boring "omg u sukk!" troll; some of these edits are interesting, although unwanted. There are three major attacks of this IP Address troll, who might have actually thought he was helping Tampo Emails by changing them to his wishes. The IP Adresses varied, but each began with 69.40, so they were probably the same person with an alternating IP Address.

The first attack involves him editing Tampo Email #5: "conquest." He altered the storyline or added fun facts to stop Bubs from "dying" in the joke death I gave him in the email. (While doing this, he also stopped Marzipan's, Pom Pom's and Strong Sad's "deaths" as well.) He did this five whole freakin' times. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

Later, this same IP Address group decided to reveal the identity of the Master by editing the end of my character description. He made three guesses over a period of a few days, and each was quickly reverted: a Mega Man Zero 1 character, Copy X, and even Sticklyman (Gasp!).

And later, when Tampo Email #11 "biggest fan" was the newest email, he decided to strike again. This was around the time Level 4 was released, and he wanted Saargtsson to join the trio. So he decided to just stick him in there, and gave him the personality of "just likes to copy Brody," and later "likes hogging the group's glory." For the image of three bosses, he eventually stuck "(Saargtsson is too "cool" to be seen)," which is pretty clever regarding his StinkoManual page. He added him in 3 different times, which Color Printer thankfully reverted. 1, 2, 3. He also stuck him and his minions in the latest email three times, and gave him dialogue where he pretty much repeated what the other characters said. 1, 2, 3. (He actually predicted his hissssssing on the letter S) He even tried to bend the rules to let him do this.

Tampo's Troubles

Did you know that...

  • ...Tampo Emails were in big trouble at one point? This was back in dark times, when Other Character Emails for minor characters were discouraged. OCE Tampo's biggest enemy was Discount Brick, who put OCE Tampo on the top of his too-minor-to-keep list and pointed it out as the most "out of hand" email. And Lunar Jesters and Ekul agreed with him, saying "It's not okay, okay? Save your work to your userspace and pick someone like Pom Pom." and "I hate to say it, but I agree with Jesty. Save the link, and post it somewhere else." accordingly. Naturally, this resulted in a rather one-sided arguement. It should make for an interesting read, resulting in my still unanswered question: "How is Other Character Email Tampo hurting the [Fanstuff Wiki]? No one's making you read it."

Don't hold it against them though; this was a while ago and their opinions have drastically changed since then. Note that this whole mess started right after Tampo Email #9 was released, before #10 started Tampo Email on its rise to fame. A few weeks later, the 10th email "future" won the first Fanstuff of the Week Award, which, oddly enough, was voted ACCEPT by both Lunar Jesters and Ekul.

Secret Reference

Did you know that...

  • ...that the second plot of Homsar's Blog, the one where Homsar saves Homeschool, is one big Tampo Email reference? Super Sam may not be aware of it, but it's true. When struggling with writer's block, Super Sam asked for plot ideas. I decided to try to come up with one. While thinking, I went through Tampo Emails for inspiration. I suggested that Homeschool gets kidnapped and Homsar has to rescue him, and since mine was the only suggestion, Super Sam used it. I didn't tell Super Sam, but my idea was based on the events in the Tampo-Einoo Email Crossover, where Homeschool is kidnapped and Tampo and company have to save him. And now the plot is based on it too. Hooray for Tampo Email references!

Really Early Work

Did you know that...

  • ...I, Joshua, have been writing stories such as these since I was little? I've always loved writing. I know you want to see some of my early work. I know you do. And not just some aught four crap, you want to see some really early work. So now I will present to you my earliest recorded story, written on a notepad all by myself (without help) on November 9th, 1995, when I was about five and a half years old. Spelling and grammar errors are intact.
Once upon a time There was a little bird-
ie! Six days ago the little birdie was hatched from an egg.
He was zero years old! He was in a nest!
His mommy was watching the little birdie!
The little birdie was a good little birdie!
The birdie never jumped out of his nest.
He grew up, and had his little birdies!
THE END
And there's more where that came from. Yes, they're quite embarrassing...

The Boss Trio

Did you know that...

  • ...the boss trio wasn't refered by that nickname until email #5? In the first email, Joshua used the clunkly "Tampo, Brody and Stlunko" phrase to refer to all three bosses doing the same thing together. In email number two, they were refered to as "the three" and "the three guys." In #3, "all the characters" was used to describe the trio. In #4, they were refered to in three seperate phrases. In the obviously legendary email #5: "conquest," after being refered to as "everyone" and "the trio," their famous nickname, "the boss trio," was used in line 39! It wasn't used again until email #12: "girlfriend."

InstaNet Roots

Did you know that...

  • ...Joshua did not think up the word "InstaNet?" Turns out he's not as creative as you may have first thought! O_o It's actually a very obscure reference to an educational children's book he got from the local library a long while back. It was on the subject of the future of our enviroment, and it showed two possible futures: One with not as much technology, but with fresh air, plentiful healthy plant life, and cleanliness. The other involved lots of technology in a polluted, crowded, filthy world. Some of the said technology was cars with InstaNet access, which I would assume they considered the future of the Internet to be. So if you happen to read "InstaNet" in a children's book, rest assured that it is not a Tampo Email reference.

Popularity Statistics

Did you know that...

  • ...as of the beginning of August 2005, the most popular OCE Tampo subpage is the Sightings page? It is followed by the Characters page. Behind those, the most popular individual Tampo Email by page views is Virus, which is the second most popular individual OCE Email of all, coming after Homestar's Fondue. Following Virus, the most popular OCE Tampo subpages are Robot Body, Conquest and Future, in that order. However Tampo's inbox is more popular than any of these, but it is not listed in the "Popular pages" section because it is a discussion page.

Stlunko? CONTRACTIONS?

Did you know that...

  • ...Stlunko used a contraction once? It's true! It's been fixed now, but it lied around in an email for quite some time before being corrected. The horrible mistake can be find in an older version of "attacked." Can you find it? You'll have to use the history tab. Oh, and for those who don't get it, for some unknown reason, Stlunko never uses contractions (like you're and what's). Ever. Plever. Jever! Jevery!!! JIBEVERY! JIBNEY!!! JIGHSGDFLJKSHGSJGHLSJGHSFLG!!!!

OCE Tampo, Brody & Stlunko

Did you know that...

  • ...the original name for Tampo Emails was Other Character Email Tampo, Brody & Stlunko? Don't bother looking for it in the history, though. It was abandoned before the Save page button was pressed, for the obvious reason of being too long and bulky. Joshua then considered his choices. One thing he really wanted was to use all three characters as main characters, but how? So because Tampo was the first boss of the three Stinkoman 20X6 bosses at the time, Joshua decided to make him the leader of the three and make him the email's namesake.

Original Ideas

Did you know that...

  • ...when Joshua was brainstorming ideas for Tampo Emails, before he set it up, he had two ideas for emails? The first idea was used in Tampo Email #5: "conquest." The second one didn't come out until much later because it took till sometime between emails #14 and #15 for Tampo to receive an email for it. Anyway, an extended version of it was eventually used in emails #21 and #22: "master" and "inspection." That's right. I knew who the Master's identity was before the creation of Tampo Emails.

Future the Seventh?

Did you know that...

  • ...the tenth email "future" was originally going to be the seventh email? It was going to have all the same plot twists too, including the destruction of the Robot Warehouse. The reason it was postponed wasn't for it to be an email special, but because I didn't want Tampo to be preoccupied during my quickly approaching birthday, so I could make the Not Quite Email "The Celebration."
