Without Pan Pan to calm him down, 1-Up will have to rely on himself to keep his zaniness in check. He should be fine as long as the voices don't come back. Those are what seem to be his problem at the moment.
I couldn't get 1-Up into some sort of decent-looking sideways crawling sprite, so I decided to have him rest the whole time. Aren't I clever? Yes, well... uh... Go, 1-Up. Get Stinkoman! For great justice!
As for how they can see in him in the ventilation shaft when there are clearly no Downtant camera-y things... well they can't exactly see him. They just have sensors that show graphs and maps of the shafts and stuff, and blockages will pop up. You've seen 'em before in movies. You know you have.
