It makes sense that 1-Up would befriend the chickens if they lived near him. They'd be like a bunch of pets. Pets... with very uncomfortable living conditions and danger of being eaten. But still pets. I would think he wouldn't want Stinkoman to eat them, but unfortunately his authority in this household is zip.
You should know what "Open sesame" is referencing. And somehow it magically unlocked the door. Like magic! Or maybe like all the other doors in this house. Door knobs are sooooo exty years ago. And once again, putting all those chickens there in a stampede was fun to do. They're even throwing bones!
"Challenging my challenges" is a phrase that was bound to pop up in this comic sometime.
