One of the problems with using the Stinkoman 20X6 sprites for a comic is that the sprites and backgrounds are so flat. It sometimes makes it different to show the third dimension of width/depth that my comic uses, and most of the time it's simply forgotten. To make matters worse, most of these level sequences require a 2D plane, so I guess Stinkoman has to conveniently forget about going around the more painful obstacles for a little bit. And I'm sure he'll forget again when he continues. It's not that he's stupid, it's just one of those things that has to be done. Otherwise it'd be no fun.

Maybe it's a flaw in his programming or something.

In other news, I finally figured out how to get some transparency on my sprites using Paint Shop Pro, so now blurs like that can go over multicolored backgrounds without looking bad. Sure, I can do it on MSPaint with just two clicks of the mouse, but MSPaint can't blur. If only there was a free non-illegal program out there that merged the simplicity of MSPaint with some of the more basic and useful features of Paint Shop Pro 8...

And contrary to how it may look, that 1-Up sprite in panel 3 is actually taken directly from the game (well, other than the mouth), not a custom. It's him charging up and kick, and I don't think it's been used very often in these sprite comics.

Dang, Stobats can move fast.
