Blarg. This comic took a long time to make; with the two new backgrounds and all that text. At least I think it looks good. Read the narration to understand what's happening and the muted dialogue for the jokes. Three jokes in one comic! Whee...
The way I see it, in 20X6 taking a space shuttle (or some sort of space craft) would be just like going to the airport today. So that's what I'm treating the spaceport as: an airport. With advanced under-fur scanning technology and some sort of Greggo with an antenna. Yeah, I'm guessing Mechanic Joe's robot designs were borrowed off somebody else's.
This is the first time you get to understand Pan Pan without some sort of translation from 1-Up. It's the only way the joke would really work, and I figure it's okay since it's just his thoughts.
This is also the first time a female character has appeared in this comic. I'm not very good at using lady characters in my work, which is why they appear so rarely. And I fear that her Mechanic Joe base might be a little bit too apparent, but I guess it works for her very minor role. As long as she stays behind that desk so I don't have to sprite her body.
As for them being the only one on Suspiciousness Inc.'s flight... for it to wait for them it'd have to be a private flight. So where could Suspiciousness Inc. want to take them without any other tourists?
