Ah... rock, paper, scissors. Clearly the answer to all of our problems.
In case you can't tell by the lack of yellow tint and narration, the scenes after panel one focus directly on what actually happened. This part of the flashback would probably be better without 1-Up interfering with his narrating, so I'll just cut him off for a few comics. He'll be back after this issue between past 1-Up and Pan Pan is solved.
The first panel of this comic was originally very different. I finished the comic, but then after reviewing it, decided to originally rewrite the first part because it was simply too wordy (five full lines) and ended up not saying anything that wasn't shown in the previous comic and following three panels. It also made it much harder to notice the shift away from the hologram.
1-UP: I hadn't gone to McPrawny's in over a month. I just wanted to pick up some prawns to go. But Pan Pan disagreed, thinking we couldn't afford another break before the trip. So...
