Well, Level 2.1 has officially begun, and it will probably play out similarily to the first game levels when it comes to the general format. But now it's a different location, with a different scenario and different enemies... so hopefully I'll be able to keep this part of the comic interesting. Expecially since now the comic contest (which is now officially closed) winners will be revealed one-by-one, as they take place in the comic. (A majority of these comics will be from me, though.)
So here's how it's gonna work. I've already made up my mind who's going to win, so don't try bribery or anything. There will be around five (not saying the exact number) of winners. Their comics will probably be minorly edited, but the joke and scenario will be remaining intact.
Besides these winners, there will be a few 'runner-ups' (not counting me using Aussie Evil's joke in an earlier comic). These are contestants whose entries either didn't fit in continuity well enough or weren't funny enough for me to use directly in my comic. However, I got inspired from them to create a somewhat similar comic, which will be appearing. And second place is better than nothing, right?
If you're confused: Simply, winners will have their joke intact. Runner-ups will have their comic ideas be inspiration for a similar comic with a different joke.
So bringing in the first winner of this contest is Aussie Evil. Congratulations!!! The joke's not particularly strong, but it does a rather good job of introducing this part of the comic strip (and setting up the joke for the next comic). For reference, here is his actual entry, so you can see how I tweaked it a little.
{Stinkoman is standing on a cold Rose Blake.}
STINKOMAN: I wonder where those chicken-based challenges went...
{Stinkoman is talking indistictly.}
ROSE BLAKE: Pressure detected. Weight: X kg. Heat on.
{The Rose Blake is white-hot; Stinkoman is jumping up in pain.}
STINKOMAN: Augh! The hot floor is turning my feet into roast!
{Stinkoman is standing on a Lundsford.}
STINKOMAN: I am never going to do that again.
LUNDSFORD: Pressure detected. Weight: X kg. Gas on.
Trust me, this is minor tweaking compared to what the runner-ups will get. And it's still basically the same comic.
