Stinkoman finally gets his food. Well, he hasn't quite eaten it yet, but he will. Probably. And I'm guessing the dumpling is inside the soup, as you never actually see it in-game. Man, I must have written and re-written this comic a dozen times before finally settling on this dialogue. But I needed to explain the upright chair somehow and a creepy 1-Up is how I decided to do it. At the expense of Stinkoman, of course.
Although Stinkoman treats and calls 1-Up as a kid, I think this is just his way of being dominant over him. In my comic at least, 1-Up is just a little younger than Stinkoman, (although robots don't really age like people...) but he does have a kid-like personality. It's just the way he is. Although I'm pretty sure I've said this before...
And behold the new sitting sprite. Having some sort of strange squatting position at an awkward angle to answer a fourth-wall-breaking-type challenge may work when your comic is brand new, but this far in I knew I'd have to just get Stinkoman to sit normally. It'll probably look a bit weird as first, but you'll get used to it after a while. It's most likely because he's actually facing forward instead of towards the camera. The standing angles of most of the Stinkoman 20X6 sprites are sort of off when you really look at them. Not that it's a problem; they still look good.
The sitting sprite is free for you to use, as long as you give credit somewhere. Here's a sheet with all the poses he gets, along with a few other miscellaneous kitchen sprites from earlier comics for you to use.
(Visit Comic #4 to compare this new sitting sprite with the old rejected attempt and pathetic solution. Dang, my comics were low quality then.)
