STRONG SAD: What happened last email? {opens up his email}

To Strong Sad;

What is your opinion of Homestar Runner?
You guys like, never talk to each other
that much.

STRONG SAD: {reads email, stops at the name} What language is that name? It must be some unknown language. Some unknown Amazon tribe has gotten internet access! And they wasted it on me. {sighs}

{He starts typing}

STRONG SAD: {typing}To the people of Tuquee Lukee {pronouces "qu" as a toungue click}, I think Homestar Runner is...{hesitates for a moment} an interesting guy. But he has his own friends and well, I have no friends. Also, he is annoyingly {hesitates again} of different thought patterns.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Different what?

{Strong Sad falls off his chair in surprise}

STRONG SAD: What are you doing here?

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Is that one of those phil-is-a-softie questions? {looks at screen} So that's what you think of me! Cool! I've got friends!

STRONG SAD: I know I will regret this, but what do you think of me?

HOMESTAR RUNNER: I think of you as a friend!

STRONG SAD: {happy} Really? You do?

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Yeah, even though you're boring and annoying and I hate being around you!

STRONG SAD: {dejected} I'm going to visit the Tallahatchie Bridge.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Road trip!

  • I found out today that a "tuque" is a type of hat, not an Amazon tribe. The more you know, the stupider you feel.
  • The Tallahatchie Bridge refers to the song "Ode to Billie Joe", about a boy who kills himself by throwing himself off that bridge.

Trivia

  • Strong Sad's first line refers to the last email, torture, which was written by my sister.
