Stinkoman 20X6: Reloaded/206

And the two basic plotlines of Level 3 intersect, with Stinkoman finding and running right over the overweight 1-Up during his retreat from Stlunko, who's chasing right behind him. This can only end badly for a certain someone! Also I'm somewhat frightened at how 1-Up's sprite is almost the same size as the sideways Stlunko one. And I'm sure the second panel seen on its own could induce some sort of very creepy slash fic.
So everyone had a little laugh? Good. Now let's get down to business.
Stinkoman 20X6: Reloaded is ending. Yes, that's right, it's over. I'm wrapping up Level 3 and then that will be it, the saga will end. It's had a good run; it's been fun to make and apparently fun for dozens of people to read. But let's get real here: there's no way I'll be able to get anywhere close to Level 10 (which hasn't even been released yet!). I could see my self getting halfway or so into Level 4, but that's it. Cutting it now is the best way for me to give my favorite work a proper ending, rather than being left hanging after a streak of increasingly long hiatuses.
Aside from getting all the way to Level 10, this is the best place to cut it. Three is a nice clean number, plus it's the three original levels of Stinkoman 20X6, and the three bosses that made up Other Character Email Tampo. Fortunately my very episodic format in writing these means that there won't be any loose ends... Pan Pan is left getting kidnapped and the villains there are still unknown, but that's about it. Everything should wrap up nicely, and I hope you've enjoyed the stories I've told.
I have a few regrets, of course. Stories I had planned that I know I'll never be able to tell. The black market in the lava zone, Pan Pan's escape attempt, Mechanic Joe's dramatic return as a programmer in Level 8... but I guess my pace has gotten the better of me, and after two and a half years in its clear that those stories wouldn't come anytime soon.
I've been seriously considering this for a while now, and the response (or rather, lack thereof) to my last comic cemented it. Everything I loved about this wiki has moved on, there's nothing or no one worthwhile keeping me here. As soon as I sever my last tie here, I'll be officially retired from the wiki. (You can stop giving me troll alerts now.) I'll still hang out in the forums and MSN, so I'll still be in touch with my friends, don't worry about that. So in the meantime, enjoy the last few comics, and thank you all for motivating me to get this far. It's been great.
