And this comic has been haunting me for quite some time, the explanation of the raining madness. The idea of having to design another entirely new scene was a bit daunting... in the end I decided to take the easy way out and pixelize a scene from one of those early Homestar Runner cartoons. While the end result may not be as good as making a pixel scene from scratch, it saves me an hour or so of work and lets you get the comic faster, so it's win/win. Plus there's a good chance the theater won't reappear after this, so I'll just let it pass by.
As for the explanation itself... what's a guy to do? The falling items are so freakin' random, there's no way I could make a serious and purposeful explanation. So I just went with a silly one which could double as a punchline. Everyone would love to go to a play like that, I'm sure. The silhouettes are slightly edited forms of Dr. Light and Mechanic Joe, by the way.
And now Level 3.2 is finally over, thank God. You can blame Twilight Princess for any lag between the updates.
