For some odd, twisted reason Browntants remind me of slugs. I mean, they just sit there and they have that little antenna and slug-like designs. I'll admit that the slug featured in Panel 2 doesn't look too much like the Browntant-slug I would've preferred, but it was the best thing Google could provide. I got it from this random website, so don't bite me! ...I don't really see any copyrights there, anyway.
I suppose they look like beetles more, but slugs are funnier, right? I mean, who doesn't like slugs? They slug around leaving little slime trails. What's not to love?! LOVE THEM, I SAY!!!
And the thought cloud is similar to the one used in Comic 27. And originally I was going to zoom in on the last panel, just like Comic 36, but then I decided not to overdo that and it was perfectly fine like this, especially since the camera already shifts halfway through this comic.
