George Transcript
JERM: All right, so George. Created in WEmail #4: snails, he was my first created character, and has since become one of the most important characters in the email show, along with The Wheelchair and The Worm, and possibly Eh! Steve. Basically, George started out as supposedly The Wheelchair's best friend, which he still sort of is, but he's kind of gotten a personality to try to put The Wheelchair in as many bad situations as possible, and to make benefit for himself.
The email was actually sent by me from my I.P. address, since I already had this idea and I didn't really know how to introduce him. A running gag is that The Wheelchair constantly is threatening to eat George because his favorite food is snails. The name is pretty random, though. I just liked the name George.
I like to liken George to The Worm, since they're both about the same size. Like Sherlock and The Worm, The Wheelchair and George have a bit of this...trying-to-kill-each-other thing. Then when George is locked up for a year and a half, The Wheelchair doesn't even care. In case you're wondering, I did the whole, lock up George thing because I felt George was too major for a fake character, and it was best to retire for a bit to use other, real, characters.
Rockholz Transcript
JERM: Now, you might be wondering what's up with the name: Rockholz. Or not. But anyways, Rockholz is actually someone's last name...Not mine, though. Mine is either really stupid or doesn't exist. Anyway, I had some rather...er...below average but not bad drawings of a character I drew who looked like a rock monster. Along with George, I quickly introduced this character rather badly at the end of "snails". Since then, though, he's pretty main of a character.
My initial thought was to make him the strongest and evilest character in the email show, but I'm bad at keeping bad guys evil unless I kill them off...quickly. So now he's kind of morphed into a evil but not quite so evil type character. Oh, and there'll be email show spoilers from now on.
The whole Rockholz-Zorkolch thing is pretty simple. While I hardly ever plan out things before I write them, I knew I wanted Zorkolch to be Rockholz when I wrote Zorkolch's debut email. His whole rock morphing and throwing thing then was able to expand a lot. It made it so Rockholz or Zorkolch could throw rocks out of no where.
Later, you find out Rockholz is working for Mr. E, which was pretty much not planned out at all and seemed like a good idea when I wrote. Rockholz's weakness was originally just a joke and I didn't plan to ever use it, but in tech ed, I did. Now, you could say that I've now killed off Rockholz, since only Zorkolch exists now, but then again, knowing my own style of writing, I'll probably find some way to bring him back. It'll probably a plot. And...did I ever explain how Rockholz was able to even morph into Zorkolch? Hmm...if I did, I forgot.
Zorkolch Transcript
JERM: All right, so this one's filled with spoilers. Not that they'd spoil anything though. First, Zorkolch is an anagram of Rockholz, in case you didn't know, because he morphs into Rockholz. I don't know why I decided to make him old; I guess it just fit if an old guy was telling people to kill The Wheelchair. Besides, I came up with a good explanation for it, right? "I'm old for a human, but young for a rock monster."
I still think that's it's pretty awesome to be able to turn your head to rock, or your arms, or make rocks out of no where and throw them at people. One thing even I'm wondering is why Zorkolch was obsessed with Eh! Steve and how he got a bunch of other people to do the same. Maybe I should read over some of these emails again and come up with an explanation.... And er...I can't think of anything else. Yeah, that's about it.
Bad Steve Transcript
JERM: Bad Steve was introduced at the same time as Zorkolch, because of the fact Zorkolch created him. The naming is pretty obvious: He's a clone of Eh! Steve, but a more evil one so his name is Bad Steve...actually...nevermind that. There is no way Bad Steve is evil. I think that was my original intentions, though. Well, actually, my original intentions was to kill off Bad Steve for good, but he turned out to be a pretty major character. Or at least more major than Keyboard Strong Bad.
Bad Steve's obsession with soda is actually kind of parellel to my obsession of soda. A few years back, I can remember in art class I was supposed to draw a food in great detail, and I chose a Mountain Dew bottle. Or also the fact that almost everyone I know thinks I have a huge obsession with Mountain Dew, which I don't. Well...maybe I do. But basically, Bad Steve's the kind of character that'll do anything for soda. Anything.
His sunglasses that he got in inspection were something I wanted to do as soon as I knew he was going to be a major character. This would help distinguish him from Eh! Steve. Of course, this is writing, but how would you know who's who if you have to imagine the emails to be actually be seen and then have a transcript written off of them. Plus in images and stuff, I didn't want him to be a pure clone of Eh! Steve since his personality is very different from Eh! Steve's.
King Snailbert Transcript
JERM: When I mentioned King Snailbert in dimsensions, I wasn't planning on making King Snailbert an actual character. Later, in whatever, I actually did introduce him though, and he got an entire season named after him. His original personality was going to be very serious, didn't like jokes, and more king-like, and you can see that in "whatever". However, he's completely different now, having more greedy characteristics...kind of like his son, George! Wow, I found a similarity!
Making King Snailbert George's father was a on the spurr of the email thing. I just made it so. Just to get The Wheelchair out of a life-threatening situation. Hmm...Prince George. Hahahano. What's with me and making different characters have fathers anyway? I've got Mr. E, George, and in _____ (I don't feel like saying the name in case someone steals it and copyrights it (I don't that'll happen though)) I have three characters that I also have fathers for.
His name is obvious. King for him being named off of Burger King a king, snail for him being a snail, and bert because King Snail sounds generic.
His connection to the Russian Mafiya are a bit obscure. I know how in mafia how he ate his uncle for a large sum of money, but I feel like explaining the rest here. See, when King Snailbert was only a child, he'd burn ants. When he grew up, he became a world-renowned professional ant burner. Of course, since he's a snail, ants are only a little bit smaller than him himself, but whatever. The mafia contacted him because they thought he was good, and he did three jobs before he quit, as I explain in jobs.
That last paragraph was all nonsense just so you know.
Mr. Flower Transcript
JERM: Hmm...you know what I just realized? Every two characters so far were introduced in pairs. Interesting. Mr. Flower's the guide to the King Snailbertian castle. And he guides everyone. That's one of his important traits. And yes, the name choice for him is extremely obvious.
Spoilers from here on out. Mr. Flower being evil is another thing completely made up as I went along. And he still guides everyone. Everywhere. I'm pretty sure that Mr. Flower is one of the least important main characters in the entire email show. I mean, all he does is guide people. And yet, that is awesome. Plus he kidnapped George. That's pretty awesome too.
Mr. E Transcript
JERM: And finally, we have Mr. E. Who is he? Well, it's a mystery! Er...well not anymore. I'll get to that later. But first let me talk about the name. Well, actually, his name is a mystery. It's that simple.
Mr. E's basically the ruler of all bad guys on the email show. He lurks in the shadows (literally) trying to get revenge on The Wheelchair. What's strange is that all the bad guys work for him and he's never even mentioned by them...well, er...that was retconned so...yeah. He's clearly the evilest of all bad guys and you can't deny that...even if he does act a little stupid at times. Or if he's a bit cliché at times. He's still cool though.
And teh now...SPLOLIERS. Mr. E wanting revenge because his father was killed by The Wheelchair was possibly the most stupid almost-impossible thing in the entire show. Really, what's with me an family backgrounds? And the whole thing in saving the moon with the fight scene with him just added to the unrealistic-ness. Not that this email show's realistic anyhow. He's a talking wheelchair for panda's sake!
I actually had no clue what or who Mr. E would be until around the time I released email 30. An idea struck me then to do the most obvious thing possible: make Mr. E some generic Ungurait. And actually, I don't think that idea is too bad. I mean, I made it all so dramatic, and then..."WAH! I wanted him to be an awesome pirate ninja who assassinated all!" is the reaction. And then I attempted to kill him off at the end of tech ed so I don't downgrade his evilness status.
