Introduction

Introduction for Disc Seven.

Cast (in order of appearance): Homestar Runner, Strong Bad

Transcript

{Open to a 3D shot of The Field. The camera pans across the grass and then zooms over to Homestar running along.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {approximately singing to the music of the Homestar Runner Theme Song} Hooomestaaar is running. Along. {drifting out of time with the music} Hooomestaaa—

{He collides with a trash can and falls in. Inside, he discovers a discarded Lappy 486.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Ooh, a portable, close-'em-up computer! Probably belonged to ol' Stro Bro once, I bet.

{He climbs out of the trash can, taking the Lappy with him.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: I could sell this on Some Type of Online Auction!

{He walks away with the Lappy in his unseen hands. Cut to a long shot of Homestar walking off with it.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: It's probably gonna be worth less than that breakfast burrito, though. Oh well, one man's treasure is another man's trash.

{The camera zooms out and away from The Field and through a window into Strong Bad's computer room, where Strong Bad is seated at his desk, where the Compé is placed. Next to it is a big red button labeled "dooj".}

STRONG BAD: It's here! It's here! It's finally here! It's about time, too! Now I can finally put the Lappy out of its misery! {presses "dooj" button} Dooj.

{Suddenly, the sound of an explosion is heard from offscreen, accompanied by Homestar screaming.}

STRONG BAD: {mock-sadly} Good-bye, Lappy-pie. {normal} Well, let's see what this new Compé can do!

{He turns on the Compé. The word "compe" appears on the screen, making the sighing sound.}

STRONG BAD: Aw, how sleek.

{The Compé's Compé-per (a pop-up bubble) appears in the corner of the screen, with the menu options. It makes the "ah-ha" sound.}

STRONG BAD: Whoa, can I customize that sound?

{The Compé-per disappears and then reappears, this time making a distorted version of The Paper's Preeeeow sound.}

STRONG BAD: There, that is more like it!

Bonus Menu Transcript

Doot Doo Doo... Bonus Stuff...

{Camera zips down to reveal Homestar dancing in place in the kitchen, wearing his chef hat.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {singsong} Bonus stuff...

{The camera then zips down to the basement and flies in to focus on the Trogdor game and menu.}

{After a 30 second pause, the camera pulls back to reveal Strong Bad has walked up to the machine.}

STRONG BAD: All right, choosey, time's up, I'm playing Trogdor. {He plays.} Oh yeah, don't stop a-squishing. {He dies an in-game death.} Aw, man! {It's over screen shows up} What? What's wrong with this stupid game? {He pounds the machine. The camera then swings back to the menu.}

Inside References

  • As with Disc Six, the 3D footage has been redone in the SBCG4AP style, including having Homestar wearing the chef's hat in the Bonus Menu intro.
    • However, Strong Bad is still done in the old style when he comes up to play the Trogdor game.
  • The way Homestar sings his theme song is a reference to how he does so in Bug In Mouth Disease.
  • Homestar plans to sell the Lappy on Some Type of Online Auction. The fact that a breakfast burrito is sold there refers to english paper.
  • Strong Bad's "It's here!" line and the startup process of the Compé refer to Compy Catalog.
  • Strong Bad blows up the Lappy with the "dooj" button, the same way as in hremail 3184.
  • Strong Bad customizing the sound for the Compé-per is a reference to independent.

Differences Between Website and DVD

  • In Independent:
    • Unlike the version on YouTube, the opening scene with The Cheat is intact.
    • Like the YouTube version, the K and Es in "she likes cloth" are also colored in.
    • Strong Bad's closing dialog is a cross between both that on the website and that on YouTube:
STRONG BAD: There you have it, Evil Jeff. The difference between a hideous growth on my butt, and a profitable hideous growth on my butt. I know you wanted us to have some film festival with all the characters, and you'd get to see little bits of everybody's movies, but I didn't do that. Because I hate you. Now, if you'll excuse me, I gotta go raid Pom Pom's craft soivice table. Can't get enough of those artisinal cheeses and that extra healthy water.
{Strong Bad gets up and leaves, making the Geddup Noise as he does so. The Compé-per appears with the simulated "Ah-ha" sound as it appears, with the word "the end" on it. Strong Bad pops his head back in and sees it, and the remainder of the scene plays as it does on the website, after which Strong Bad leaves for good.}
  • In Videography:
    • The scrap of paper Easter egg is gone. Instead, the video of Coach Z throwing up in his toupee is shown as a normal Easter egg. The video is presented on what looks like a Homestar-type parody of YouTube.
  • In Hremail 7:
    • The copyright at the start does not read it as 2001. Instead, it's 2000.
    • Strong Bad talks with an older-style voice.
