HOMESTAR: {Typing as he talks} What makes me mad, eh Sam? Uh... I dunno. I guess I never get mad. But there are some things that make me angry. Like uh... that Marshmallow Guy. He drives me crazy. Oh! And I also hate it when stores make stuff like, 9.99, instead of ten dollars. But what really drives me crazy are those phone calls where, like, this guy you don't even know tries to get you to sign up for some bank thing.
{Homestar stops typing and a telephone rings twice}
HOMESTAR: {No longer typing} Ooh. A phone call!
{Homestar turns away from his computer and picks up a cordless telephone.}
HOMESTAR: Hello?
{Cut to Strong Bad in his house peering through the door frame at Strong Sad who appears to be sitting at a desk with a pencil, but not writing. He's holding Pom Pom's cell phone}
STRONG BAD: Umm, yes. Hello. This is Mr. Jason. With Jason and Jeffery... banking. Yeah yeah, banking.
{Strong Bad mumbles indistinctly, which sounds like something about The Cheat}
STRONG BAD: Umm, anyway. We would like you... to ask you... if you would like to sign up for our free... 9.99 dollar... deal! Just come to the stick for your, um... deal!
HOMESTAR: {after a slight pause} Oh, hey Strong Bad.
{cut back to Strong Bad, now facing forward}
STRONG BAD: Ohhh. Crap! How'd you know it was me?
{cut to a poorly drawn Homsar standing in The Field)
HOMSAR: Ahhhhhhh! Pizza is my favorite sport.
{cut again to Strong Bad, still facing forward, but with a puzzled look on his face}
{cut back to Homestar. He sets down the phone and returns to his computer}
HOMESTAR: So until next time... Leave me alone!
{Homestar's Red, White, and Blue paper comes down; closing the email.}
Fun Facts
- Strong Bad prank calling is a running gag on Marzipan's Answering Machine.
- Homsar doesn't seem to have a phone, but Strong Bad and Homestar hear him nonetheless.
- Ironically, even though Homestar said in email 2 that the Compy sounded like a computer a five year old made up he ended up buying their computer anyways.
- Strong Bad's boxing gloves are on backwards when he is on the phone facing away from the screen.
