After the creation (and revolt) of Shadowy Figure, the near-dead Coach Z released a non-shadowified clone to capture Shadowy Figure. But, as time went on, the clone became corrupt and joined Shadowy Figure's army of bosses.

Shadowy Figure was experimenting, and accidentally hit the wrong button, making him a crappy JPEG, as well as an unfair presumption of who the un-shadowed figure is. So angered at this, he simply covered himself in a veil of black and sometimes he assumes this as a fake alias when in need of retreat and when in hiding.
