The Guide to Email Success/Poopsmith Z's Tips

Here are my tips:

  • The most important rule of all: MAKE THEM FUNNY. There are a lot of boring email shows out there (not saying any names) that just aren't funny at all. They don't really make sense, and they're just like extended versions of the easter egg in The Lil' Brudder Show: no point.
  • Length. Don't make them too short, like just barely over ten lines, but don't make them too long either, at like, 100 lines. All the email shows with really really long emails are good, but I just can't focus on them because they're too long, and I eventually end up skimming through just half of it, missing all the jokes, then just going "this sucks!" and leaving.
  • Style. This one's important. If you're using a 20X6 character, they're all supposed to act like characters from Japanese Cartoons. If it's Powered By The Cheat, the characters need to have no personality, be slaves to The Cheat and his awesomeness, and emphasize the wrong words in sentences.
  • Don't use cliches. It's annoying to see millions of virus emails.
