Hello, again! Jel here, while working on my successful Frotzer project, I was charged with improving another minion of Saargtsson, the Gaspeau. The two species are closely related, sharing 99.97% of each other's DNA, but despite this, the Gaspeau's evolution could not have been more differant. The following material is adapted from my diary, but bear in mind that the project was also effected by external forces beyond our control.

A small larva. It is very weak, and will not stand up to a single attack, but can still inflict damage by using its high body temperature to burn enemies.

A Gokul. It is still relatively weak, and its stats are pretty much the same. In this incarnation, it shall develop either into a Frotzer, a Gaspeau or a Sarrgorr (Saargtsson larva). This one is bred to become a Gaspeau. Can someone pass the puke pale...

As with the Frotzer, it's developed into this blob, but unlike the Frotzer, it is developing the trademark blue colouring of a Gaspeau. Its stats are just the same.

A fully developed Gaspeau! Its stats are the same as a Frotzer, the only real differance is the way the two move. Being slightly less intellegent than the Frotzer, it is hard for it to master U-turns. Like my Frotzer project, the following versions are achived through forced evolution.

As we were expecting a similar mutation to the Frotzer, but we were surprised to see a move in the opposite direction. The Gaspeau's tails are beginning to fuse together. The purpuse of this evolution is not currently known. More information will arise as the mutation continues. The Gaspeau seems to be gaining more stamina.

The tails continue to merge together, we believe they are forming together into a fin. The antennae are strengthen, and the body's stamina is improving. As before in the Frotzer project, the screen is srinking to lower vunerablity, as well as create more room for the brain.

The tails have fully fused into a a large tail. The tail is not suited to catch hot air anymore, it seems to be evolving to swim in lava. The body's stamina has improved again, raising its endurance. The screen's shrinking has raised its IQ from a below average 70 to 120.

Something a bit strange is happening, the screen appears to be splitting, and also darkening, most probably to protect the Gaspeau's Retina from the intence glow of the magma around it. Its tail has strengthened to increase its speed while swimming.

Its screen continues to contract and split. Its IQ now rates at 140. Its antennae are developing and it appears to be growing new apendeges. Its body is strengthening.

The eyes are now almost completely seperate. Its body is now more streamlined and its hide is more resiliant to attack and heat, most probably to further protect itself from the intence heat. The antennae and limbs continue to develop.

A massive gain for the Gaspeau! It has not only developed new fins, but has developed depth perseption thanks to its new eyes, and a new antenna capable of firing enegy bullets. The Gaspeau can now leap out of the lava to ram enemies outside to the lava, and can also stab people from below with its sharklike fin. It is now a marine (except with lava) creature!
After this, the Gaspeau failed to evolve further. The challenge now is to introduce them swiftly to the Lava Zone...
