Cobble, Hastily-Made Robot Assistant
Hi, I'm Professor Skub, reporting from the Lava Zone once more. I've recently found a bucket of scrap parts tossed out by somebody (I'm assuming the Boss), and I figure I need some practice anyhow... and who knows? Maybe I'll get my own little assistant out of it, too!

Pile of Parts
What I found was this; a deactivated Kolkaryu, a broken Jaro, and the propellor from a Clowder. A nearby Gaspeau passed by so I thought I might as well use him too. He seemed pleased to help out my endeavors! So where do I start?

Prop Kolkaryu
I decided to start by outfitting the broken Kolkaryu with some manner of transportation. In the state it was when I got it, it had a broken propulsion drive, as well as a broken laser orb (on its undercarriage). It was broken beyond repair when I found it, so I figured that, rather than try futilely to repair its propulsion drive, I would outfit it with the Clowder's propellor. Testing it, it seems to work well.

Prop Kolkaryu (Visor)
Second on my to-do list was to input a motion detector system; taking one from the broken Jaro worked, since that seemed to still work well. I also removed the Kolkaryu's undercarriage, just to clean up a bit, since its laser orb is out of commission.

Prop Kolkaryu (Gyro)
I noticed that, as is, the Kolkaryu has trouble flying with its propellor and staying stable midair. That's why I added a new undersection containing a gyroscope or whatever. It keeps him stable in midair, so that's always nice! I also put the motion detector system online, and the Kolkaryu now knows what is and isn't a wall. Progress!

Prop Kolkaryu (Arms)
This one has tentacle arms.

Cobble
Here he is: Cobble, in all his scraped-together glory!
To start this upgrade, I rounded his body off for aerodynamic purposes, seeing as his main mode of travel is aerial travel. That said, I also replaced the propellor with a brand new propulsion drive; it was kindly donated to me by a scientist from Headquarters... can't remember his name. Doctor Bertrand or something.
I also gave Cobble hands proper; when he is in the air, he can carry things with them, helping immensely around the lab. He can also stand on them when not flying, which is handy for saving him energy. He also has a tail for balance reasons.
In the end, I'm proud of my work. Really, I am! Now that I've got an assistant, my work is cut in half; he does the lifting, I do the building! It's a perfect combination!
Oh, also, Saargtsson doesn't want me messing around like this again, so it looks like this guy's gonna be my only friend for a while...!
