A Field Ability is a special move that a character can use while he/she's outside of battle. You can use it by pressing R1 (PS2), Z (GCN), white button (XBOX) or R (DS). They can vary from starting a battle with weaker enemies or grabbing on to distant ledges!

What's a Field Combo?

After you get Strong Bad, pressing the Field Ability button will allow you to select which player you want to combo with, or if you don't want to do a Field Combo. For example...

  • The Cheat's Field Ability allows him to latch onto a distant ledge and pull himself to it.
  • Strong Bad's Field Ability fires off his boxing glove and strikes enemies.
    • The Cheat and Strong Bad's Field Combo fires a boxing glove, The Cheat latches onto it, and he gets to ride the flying boxing glove until it hits something!

They can either make fights easier or get you rare items, like Shiny Loot.
