Homestar Runner's Trading Card Game/manual/decks
From Homestar Runner Fanstuff Wiki
Now that you have your deck's webpage set up, you should learn about how decks work. First off, each deck can only have up to 18 cards. You can place cards you don't want in your deck in a sort of "storage" for later use. If you get more than 18 cards, you may start building a second, seperate deck if you wish.
You cannot have two of the same character cards (normal or wildcard) in a single deck. If an opponent has an identical character out on the field, you'll be unable to draw that card.
There are three different types of cards. They are Normal Character, Wildcard Character, and Item.

Normal Players
The most common type of card is a normal character. Since it's a character card, it can climb the mountain and wrestle with other players. Their stats are shown on their cards.
- A stands for "Attack". It determines how powerful their attacks are.
- D stands for "Defense". It determines how well it can withstand attacks.
- S stands for "Speed". It determines the attack order and up to how many spaces they can move.

Wildcard Players
Wildcard players are useful in longer games. They're player cards, so they get to climb the mountain and wrestle with other players. They have elements, like normal players, but their attack, defense, and speed are different every time they are drawn, or when they lose a wrestling match. (Its random stats cannot go higher than 6 or lower than 1, and must add up to 10.)
THE CHEAT:
E: Strange
THE CHEAT is a wildcard.
The stats of this card are
random each time it's drawn.
Items
Some player cards have unbalanced stats, so they don't do very well when they wrestle against other players. Using items on players can boost their stats or change their elements to help them win! However, items can also have negative effects on players. Use those items on the enemy to make them weaker. Some cards are one-turn only, but usally when you attach a card to a player it'll be able to stay until either you remove it or it is "knocked off" in a wrestle.
Each character card can only have one item effecting it at a time. Attaching a second item will cause the first to fall back into the owner's hand.
COOL SHADES:
These shades make you feel very cool.
Elemental Change: Cool
As you play HRTCG more and more, you'll figure out the flaws in your deck. By adding, removing, and trading cards, you may be able to create an excellent combination of cards that can help you to win just about any game!
