To add or change a blockquote, simply edit the page. The system will automatically put them in alphabetical order and standardize the formatting, subject to the following restrictions:

  • Only blockquotes can be defined on this page. They must begin with "blockquote." followed by the name of the blockquote. Optionally, you may put a "div" after the name of the blockquote.
  • If you try to include a non-blockquote element, or if you make a typo, the system will not be able to parse it and will generate an error. It will tell you the text it could not understand to help you find it.
  • Certain confusing or less secure styles and attributes are disallowed: for example, anything with "http://", "display:none", "cursor:*", "visibility.*". If you try to include them the system will generate an error. It will also return an error if you leave out a semicolon at the end of a line, so watch out for that.
  • A blockquote can only be defined once. If you try to define a blockquote that is already in the list, the system will generate an error. (Note: "blockquote.mystyle" and "blockquote.mystyle" are identical and would return an error. But "blockquote.mystyle" and "blockquote.mystyle div" are not identical; in fact, this is how a "div" is normally set up.)
  • Only links to local images are allowed.
