Transcript

{Open to Ert's Room. Caity shows Alfonzo in. Alfonzo is carrying the package for Ert}

CAITY: Here we are. Ert?

ERT: {Offscreen} Be right there!

{On the other side of the room, there is a banging noise coming from the closet. A thud is heard, and the door opens. Ert steps out}

ERT: What's up, babe?

CAITY: Your package is here.

ERT: Sweet! {To Alfonzo} Just put it over near the bed.

ALFONZO: You got it.

{Alfonzo walks over to Ert's bed and places the package near it}

ALFONZO: That sure was a load off.

ERT: I gotta say I'm glad Bubs sent someone this time. If he told me he was gonna use my catapult for deliveries, I wouldn't have built it for him.

ALFONZO: You built that thing?

CAITY: Ert's a bit of a tinker.

ERT: A bit of a tinker? I'd like to think I'm a genius.

CAITY: Now honey I've warned you about too much thinking.

ALFONZO: So if you don't mind me asking, what's in that box?

ERT: I don't mind a bit. You see I needed a few select parts from Bubs to finish a little project I'm working on.

ALFONZO: Bubs carries everything, doesn't he?

ERT: Indeed he does. I knew he'd have just what I needed to repair Bill.

ALFONZO: Repair Bill? Who's Bill?

CAITY: Bill is a robot Ert built when he was 10. He used to be the voice of reason in Ert's schemes. God knows he doesn't listen to me.

ALFONZO: I think I can sympathize with this Bill guy.

{Cut to a flashback of the GDD van, the gang's way of getting around. Alfonzo is standing there watching Pete and Dan strap fireworks to the van}

PETE: With these boosters, we'll get to Free Country USA twice as fast!

DAN: It's brilliant!

ALFONZO: Guys I really don't think this is a good idea.

{Fade to black. "5 minutes later" pops up on the black screen, then the scene fades in to the van on the road}

DAN: {From inside the van} And... activate boosters!

{The van explodes. End of flashback}

ERT: Oh come on, Cait. You know that without my genius we'd be lost.

CAITY: I'm sorry, but who pays the bills?

{Mac runs in}

MAC: Bill?! Did I hear Bill?

CAITY: I said "Bills" Mac.

MAC: {Runs to Ert} You made more?! {Hugs Ert} I love you.

ERT: {Pushes Mac away} Mac. You're an idiot.

MAC: {Smiles blankly} Yeah...

ALFONZO: Anyway I suppose Bubs needs me back at the Stand. I'll be going.

ERT: Well alright. It was great meeting you! We should keep in touch!

ALFONZO: Sure, sounds great.

ERT: I'll be in touch through email! Just ask Bubs for my email address.

ALFONZO: Will do.

CAITY: Oh no. He said it.

ERT & MAC: {In unison} Who's Will?

{Alfonzo and Caity simultaneously slap their foreheads. The screen fades to black. The End}

Fun Factuals

• If this was a video game, at the end of the toon it would say "Ert Emails have now been unlocked!"
• This is not how the two groups of characters met on the WUW, but it doesn't matter really. Someday I'll post the original GDDTV episodes... maybe.
• "Will do." "Who's Will?" is a running gag in my fanstuff. So when Caity says "Oh no. He said it." she knew it was coming.
