In order to particpate in the GLORIOUS SINGLE INTERACTIVE, you need a character of some kind. Creating characters is fun and easy, but keep the following rules in mind.

Contents

For your first character

  1. Your first character must be a real Homestar character.
    • It must be a character from the canon Homestar Runner universe.
    • The character must exist in one of the universes that is already available.
  2. Choose a character with a well-defined personality.
    • This is not required, but is definitely recommended and will more likely get you passed.
    • If you define a personality for a character on your own, put some thought into it!
    • Most characters have appeared at least once in a canon cartoon, save ones like Homeschool. Stay within the confines of what we've already seen them do.
  3. You may not have more than one character at first.
    • If trusted users like what they see in you, they may give you permission to use more characters later on.

Further Homestar-related characters

  1. You may not own a main present-day character
  2. Unless you are a Trusted User, you may not have a main character.
  3. Don't try to get a character in every alternate universe.
    • Once we get lots of alternate universes, people will most likely not be able to keep up with all of them.
    • This doesn't really apply until we get lots of alternate universes.
  4. Characters do not have to be variants of one another.
    • The same user may own both The Cheat and 1-Up without any repreccusions, though they're not variants of one another.
    • Likewise, do not try to claim variants as your own until you actually own them. For instance, if you have Strong Bad, don't assume Stinkoman is already yours.
  5. If a character does not have a variant, you can make one up and have it not be counted as a FC
    • This might need clarifying.

Fake Character rules

  1. No Wiki Users.
    • You cannot play as yourself.
    • Your character cannot resemble or be related in any way to your own wiki user character.
  2. No more than two fake characters per user.
    • This is to prevent an overload of fake characters that draw the story to themselves too much.
  3. Include a picture of your character.
    • We don't care how much you suck at drawing. If you have to, ask someone else to make a picture for you.
    • Your character's picture should not be a sprite.
  4. No dresser characters.
    • Any characters made in Homestar Dresser, Strong Bad Dresser, etc. are simply clones of canon characters and are lame.
  5. No humanoid characters.
    • Your character cannot be a human.
    • Characters may also not look like humans; we don't care if they're a demon from the 18th sector; if it looks kind of like a human, it won't pass.
    • Exceptions for this rule may occur occasionally. For instance, Limozeen.
  6. No relations to other characters.
    • Your character cannot be related to a canon H*R character.
    • Being friends with a Homestar Runner character or another user's character is not reccomended.
    • Relationships will develop as stories progress.
  7. No attacks.
    • Characters do not get to have superpower-like attacks with which to damage or injure another character.
    • 20X6 characters are an exception to this rule.
  8. No backstories.
    • We don't care about your character's past lives. Their story will form as the interactive progresses.
  9. Personality development is OK.
    • Once your character has passed its tryout, feel free to develop your character's personality in any way you like.

Miscellany

  1. Trusted users can remove you from your character.
    • If they don't like what they're seeing coming from your character, they may disallow you from using it.
    • This may occur even if your character is following all of the rules.
  2. Rules are subject to change.
    • The trusted users reserve the right to change the rules at any time they feel appropriate.
