Transcript
{We cut to a full-view of Gunhaver's computer room. It's empty, and the Delta 1001 is turned off. Then we hear a loud sound as there is a flash of white light. Then Shim-Sham-Sam materializes in front of Gunhaver's chair.}
SHIM-SHAM-SAM: Okay, so I had to interrupt my quest in space to come here using my crossover helmets due to an invitation from Gunhaver, and I know why I'm here. And yes, I am legalized to use the crossover helmets again.
{Then Shim-Sham-Sam walks away. Then we go to a room with Gunhaver and a video game controller similar to NES controllers. Shim-Sham-Sam comes.}
SHIM-SHAM-SAM: What'cha playing?
GUNHAVER: Bad Racer.
{Then Gunhaver looks at Shim-Sham-Sam and nearly gets surprised.}
GUNHAVER: Oh! Shim-Sham-Sam! I never thought you'd come so early. I told you to come at 8 PM, not 3 PM.
SHIM-SHAM-SAM: Oh... well, I was in space. Must be different time zones, but I don't think it makes much sense, since I was in space, not Earth.
GUNHAVER: Yeah, whatever. Anyway, I'd better spoil things for you by giving you what we prepared for you.
{Then they go to a room with a desk. Gunhaver takes out a piece of paper and gives it to Shim-Sham-Sam.}
GUNHAVER: Firebert drew this for you.
{Shim-Sham-Sam looks at it and looks a little bewildered.}
SHIM-SHAM-SAM: What the... What are these?
GUNHAVER: Firebert claims that they're candles.
SHIM-SHAM-SAM: Those are definitely not candles.
{Then we see the drawing.}
{Then we cut back to Gunhaver and Shim-Sham-Sam (who rips the piece of paper apart into shreds).}
GUNHAVER: Told you it wasn't good. Anyway, I guess I should show you your presents.
{Then Shim-Sham-Sam and Gunhaver go to five wrapped boxes on a table. Shim-Sham-Sam opens one of them and takes out a box.}
SHIM-SHAM-SAM: {puzzled} A box in a box???
{Then he opens the next one to take out a bunch of rocks.}
SHIM-SHAM-SAM: A bunch of useless rocks???
{Then he opens the next one, taking out two tickets.}
SHIM-SHAM-SAM: Two un-refundable and expired tickets to the docks?
{Then he opens the next one, taking out a penny.}
SHIM-SHAM-SAM: A penny found in Fort Knox???
{Then he opens the last box, taking out a toaster.}
SHIM-SHAM-SAM: WHAT??? A toaster? I have ten of these already! Like I need another one!
{Shim-Sham-Sam throws the toaster away while Gunhaver ducks (which isn't necessary). Then we see the toaster flying through a window (breaking it). Then we hear a smacking sound.}
REYNOLD: {off-screen} Ow! My vocal cords! It somehow hit my vocal cords! Now I can't sing for Shim-Sham-Sam's birthday party!
{Then we cut back to Shim-Sham-Sam and Gunhaver.}
SHIM-SHAM-SAM: Um... I guess those can be counted as highlights.
GUNHAVER: This is certainly the best Shim-Sham-Sam birthday of my life!
{Then we cut to another room in the HQ later that day with all of the Cheat Commandos (minus the Cheat Rangers and Arrowhaver) with Shim-Sham-Sam.}
Cheat Commandos: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHIM-SHAM-SAM!
{Then we zoom out to the outside of the HQ, where there are fireworks in the air, saying Happy Birthday every time.}
{Then the Paper comes down, saying HAPPY __ BIRTHDAY, SHIM-SHAM-SAM!!!}
Fun Facts
- Yes, it's my birthday. Try guessing my age. It's revealed in this toon, somewhere.
- Shim-Sham-Sam talking about the crossover helmets is referencing to crossover.
- Bad Racer is parodying an old NES game, Rad Racer.
- The whole present opening sequence is parodying the present opening sequence in the third Waterman episode.
- That sequence was referencing to the Dr. Seuss rhymes, and in that episode, the Cat in the Hat appears, getting the toaster (he swears).
NOTE: I guess I procrastinated a little bit in the making of this toon, making this not as good as I thought. I would have added in a Firebert animation (similar to the one from Unused emails).
