A more complete tutorial is on it's way. The circled parts are all the shapes and line tools used in the design. The moon shape is the transparent shading on the ball. Is it placed in the front layer to shade the eyes as well. The mouth pieces (except for the teeth line) are made in the curve line tool. The teeth line is made using the freeform line tool. The small reflection at the top of the ball is a light green circle, and the white space between the town eyes is just an ordinary white rectangle. For now, this is all I can do for you. The more I figure out, the more I'll be able to help.
