Beta Clam (full software name "Automatron Beta Clam v1.0 Build 263") is an automatron derived from the earlier, Software Automated Mouth programs such as Alpha Stan. Beta Clam was considered too difficult to be programmed at the same company as Alpha Stan, so part of the company split off into what is now Roadkill Automatrons. Roadkill Automatrons proceeded to create the "Wolfcry" line of products. Although Alpha Stan is not technically part of the Wolfcry line, it is widely regarded as such. Beta Clam has state-of-the-art technology, although the next product in the Wolfcry line, "Gamma Planner", will render Beta Clam obsolete. However, development for Gamma Planner is still in the Alpha stages, and it is not likely to be completed for another 6 years, and which point Beta Clam's software will be more inline with 2012 technology.

Beta Clam has a dedicated server which takes up approximately 100m³ of space. Although this is rather large, it is due to the fact that Beta Clam is "wired in", so to speak, to Homeschool's Mansion. Beta Clam controls most aspects of Homeschool's Mansion, including, but not limited to, security, pool and spa temperatures, automated food processing, air conditioning, surveillance and phone and Internet connection. Beta Clam is energy efficiant, drawing almost all energy from solar panels.

If one wants to take Beta Clam's many features out of the house, Beta Clam's "Laptop Programming" can be downloaded onto any compatible laptop or computer. Almost all computers are compatible, however, Beta Clam cannot be downloaded onto any computer with any other program in the Wolfcry line, such as Alpha Stan.

The only known way to glitch Beta Clam's system is to get to the main server. From there, Beta Clam can be glitched by either pouring bugs into the server or by putting a cat in the server. The latter is known break reality and induce a montage.

No matter how advanced you are, there will always be a program that is more advanced. However, these programs are rare, so it's much easier just to laugh at all the other obsolete programs out there. - Beta Clam
