Dave is the main programmer for Videlectrix. His predecessor, whose name is unknown, recieved amazing training that posed a serious threat to Microsoft, so they assassinated him. However, Dave is extremely similar to the previous programmer before his training, however, so it is unknown if that was canon or not. He can program very simple events, such as creating text or making stuff move.
